All events hosted by Toronto Tastemakers fall under this umbrella. We place a focus on innovate events and opportunities that engage our community of creatives to explore, learn and expand their craft. 

SPTLGT 2018- Addressing mental health concerns amongst minority creatives in Toronto

On April 30th at The Gladstone hotel we held SPTLGT 2018 a panel conversation and concert that placed a spotlight on mental health concerns amongst minority creatives. The event was a great success with hundreds in attendance to support Toronto's creative community. The theme of the night was "support our own, while they are here. Special Thank you to everyone involved. Our panelist Malcolm Omoruyi, Sean Leon, Amy Hosotuji, David Forteau and Jodianne Beckford and our moderator Chedo from The Come Up Show. Toronto tastemakers Film and Entertainment Panel and networking event

On January 24th 2018, Toronto Tastemakers held and film and entertainment panel and networking events. We had distinguished leaders in Toronto's entertainment industry present on the panel (from left to right) Raymond Ablack, Steven Mann, Meisha Watson, Amanda Parris and Dwayne Holness. With over 150 in attendance, attendees were provided the opportunity to listen in on this panel of experts, ask questions and network with like minded individuals in the film and entertainment industry.

Roundtable DISCUSSION: Challenges, complications and concerns faced by black creatives in Toronto

On February 15th 2018, Toronto Tastemakers, facilitated by its founders, held a roundtable discussion on challenges, complications and concerns faced by black creatives in Toronto. Those in attendance were able to discuss the issues and come up recommendations on how the black community of creatives should address these issues.
